This page functions as a free "Services Offered Board" where individual moving-helpers looking for freelance work (as an independent contractor) can post an advertisement for their services that can be seen by trucking companies, moving companies, and any any other parties looking to hire freelance individual moving-helpers directly (not thru a company or AGMC). If this is not what you're looking for, below is a link back to the HOME page.
MOVING HELPER LIST
PUBLIC SERVICES OFFERED BOARD
Any party hiring a moving helper off this services offered board would be hiring the helper directly, taking sole responsibility for all aspects of directly hiring a freelance independent contractor. A Great Moving Crew (AGMC) would be acting only to provide this public "posting board", and helping freelance independent contractors connect and communicate with potential hiring parties, occasionally acting to help pass messages between parties, but NOT acting as any kind of "labor ready" service. AGMC is providing this service for FREE, to both the freelance helpers and the parties looking to hire them. Other than this free posting and message passing service, AGMC is playing no part in the hiring of any moving helpers, and so all issues of any kind (pay, injuries, taxes, etc.) would be issues between only the helper and the party hiring them, not issues involving AGMC. AGMC is NOT HIRING!!!
The names of the freelance moving helpers offering their services on this posting service are listed in order of their general overall reputation for being a skilled, reliable, prompt and available mover, best on top of the list to less-so on the bottom. Where a mover has made clear the hourly rate they charge and the specialty services they offer, AGMC will add that key information to their posting. Where AGMC has heard consistent feedback about a mover, AGMC will also add those general reputation notes into that mover's posting.

GETTING ON THE LIST
If you are interested in posting your services on AGMC's Moving Helper List (Services Offered Board) you'd need to text AGMC a request to get on the Moving Helper's List, sent to 541 636-7386. AGMC will then text you a copy of AGMC's Terms And Conditions for Moving Helpers. If you reply to that text agreeing to these terms and conditions, that's enough to get you listed on the posting board.
AGMC will then text you a short questionnaire about your services. If you reply to that text with answers to those questions, AGMC can add to your posting additional information about your services.
AGMC AGREEMENT FOR MOVING HELPERS
1) Public Posting Board. By signing this contract, you (the undersigned, you, your), are requesting that A Great Moving Crew (AGMC, we, us, our) place your name and phone number on a "public posting board" list of freelance moving helpers that can be seen by the public on AGMC's website page "HELPERS POSTING", which allows you to offer your freelance independent contractor services for sale directly to the public. You may also call AGMC at any time to update your posting's statement of the hourly rate that you charge and your availability schedule. This means anyone could call or text you directly to offer you a job. Under no circumstances would AGMC ever be offering to hire you for a job. AGMC is not acting as a temp-help service, or playing any part in the hiring process, other than to operate this free public posting board, and to possibly pass messages along between you and a potential hiring party. Any hiring would be something between only you and some other non-AGMC party.
2) AGMC also passes messages along. You are also authorizing AGMC to suggest your services to other moving companies when those companies are looking for extra help. If one of those moving companies tells AGMC they'd like to offer you a job, AGMC might forward their job offer information to you through AGMC's phone number 541 636-7386 (pass the message along to you). However, any job offer descriptions you get texted to you thru AGMC's phone number must be understood to be a job offer being made to you from another non-AGMC company, only passed along to you by AGMC, not AGMC offering to hire you. The party offering to hire you for the job would be identified in an AGMC text by the hiring party's company name or personal name being followed by the term "Lead moving company" or "Lead" for short; i.e. "Johnston Movers is the Lead moving company" or "Johnston Lead" for short.
3) AGMC's posting and message passing service is free. AGMC offers these Posting and job-offer-forwarding services to you (as a moving helper) at no charge to you. AGMC's only part in your involvement as a moving helper is as the host of the free Public Posting Board, and as a free phone message forwarding service. That's it. AGMC would not be your boss, employer, temp-service, hiring party, or the moving company doing any moving jobs. With you as a moving helper, you would never be paying AGMC, and AGMC would never be hiring, paying or owing you. AGMC has nothing to do with your hiring, pay, injuries, taxes, or anything else about your work.
4) Open Market Listing And Booking-Help Service.
AGMC also runs an Open Market Listing And Booking-Help Service for independent moving companies, much like Priceline, Home Advisor, Angie's List, & Movinghelp.com, that helps customers book the services of independent moving companies. If you ever work as a helper on any moving job that has been helped to be arranged by AGMC, it's important you understand the distinction that AGMC would be acting on that job only as a third party Open Market Listing And Booking-Help Service that has helped the moving customer to book their moving job with another non-AGMC moving company, and it is that non-AGMC moving company that would be hiring you and responsible for all aspects of having hired you. AGMC would NOT be the moving company hired for the job, nor the company that hired you.
5) You are not working for AGMC. For any moving jobs you work on that are helped to be arranged thru AGMC services, you agree that you would not be working for AGMC, nor be operating as a subcontractor, agent or employee of AGMC, and so for these jobs you agree to not file any damage, injury, disability, worker's comp, or unemployment claims against AGMC. If AGMC is ever charged for your damages, disability, injuries, worker's comp or unemployment claims for any moving jobs you have done, you agree to reimburse AGMC for those charges, regardless of any other related agency definitions, classifications or findings. You agree that you will never be working for AGMC, and so AGMC will never appear on any of your tax forms as a source of your income. For any moving job offers you get, your pay rate and pay conditions as a helper is always something you need to negotiate with the Lead moving company of the job prior to you accepting their job offer. AGMC is not involved in your pay in any way.
6) Responsibilities as an Independent Contractor. When you apply with this contract to have your services offered on AGMC's public Posting Board, you are offering your services to the public as a freelance independent contractor, declaring that you qualify as such, and so when you accept any job offer working on a moving job that has been helped to be arranged by AGMC, you declare yourself to be taking the job as a freelance independent contractor, taking responsibility for your own taxes, injuries, damage claims, withholding, and all other responsibilities of an independent contractor. For these jobs, you take full and sole responsibility for your own injuries, and you agree you will never hold the customer, AGMC, or the moving company that hired you responsible for any injuries might sustain on your jobs. You also take responsibility for having your own medical and disability insurance, and if any medical/injury/disability claims are ever charged to either the customer, AGMC or the moving company that hired you, you agree to reimburse those parties for those charges.
7) Severability. If any provision of this Agreement is held to be invalid, illegal, or unenforceable by a court or Arbiter, such provision shall be severed from this Agreement and the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect. The parties agree that any such invalid, illegal, or unenforceable provision shall be modified to the minimum extent necessary to make it valid, legal, and enforceable while preserving as much as possible of the original intent of the words.
8) Arbitration Agreement. You agree that any and all Claims between You and AGMC, or between you and the company that hired you, shall be submitted only to binding arbitration, to be resolved by one (1) arbitrator (the “Arbitrator”) through final and binding arbitration on an individual basis only and not by court or jury trial, or representative action. The arbitration shall be administered by Judicial Arbitration & Mediation Services (“JAMS”) in accordance with this Arbitration Agreement and the JAMS Streamlined Arbitration Rules and Procedures (https://www.jamsadr.com).
