This page is for freelance (independent contractor) individual moving-helpers or parties wanting to hire freelance individual moving-helpers directly (not thru a company). If this is not what you're looking for, below is a link back to the HOME page.
MOVING HELPER LIST
SERVICES OFFERED BOARD
AGMC offers a free "services offered board" where independent-contractor moving helpers can list and offer their independent services to moving companies and other private parties who are looking to hire freelance labor help for their projects. Any party hiring a moving helper off this services offered board would be hiring the helper directly, taking sole responsibility for all aspects of directly hiring an independent contractor. AGMC would be acting only to help independent contractors connect and communicate with parties wanting to hire them, for free, NOT acting as any kind of "labor ready" service. The names of the moving helpers offering their services are listed in order of their general reputation for being a great and reliable mover, best on top to less-so on bottom.

LISTING CONTRACT FOR MOVING HELPERS v2026
If you (the undersigned) fill out and submit this contract to A Great Moving Crew (AGMC) this will result in your freelance independent-contractor moving-helper services becoming listed on AGMC's "Moving Helpers List", which is just a "services offered board" that can be seen by different Moving Companies and private parties looking to hire extra freelance help for piecemeal job appointments. These parties looking to hire extra help would be hiring you directly, so AGMC is not offering a "labor ready" service where these parties would be hiring you "through" AGMC. Nor is AGMC offering to hire you as an employee or contractor for AGMC. AGMC would only be putting your name on a services offered board, and possibly helping you to communicate with different potential hiring parties if the hiring parties don't just contact you directly themselves. The fee you charge other parties for your services is something you need to negotiate with them. The frequency of you getting job offers is related to the reputation you have built about your services.
Job appointment offers to you from these moving companies and private parties could come to you directly from them, or possibly come in the form of a text message sent to you through AGMC's services describing that parties' job appointment offer. In these texts from AGMC, any company name or personal name that is followed by the term "Lead" is defined as "The party that is offering to hire you for that job appointment". If you reply to one of these job offer texts with your indication of acceptance, you would be agreeing to accept that job appointment offer as a freelance independent contractor working for that named "Lead" party, at the rates you are responsible for pre-agreeing upon with them, owed for your work on that job only by that named "Lead" party, not AGMC. You are responsible for paying your own taxes and doing your own withholding and reporting directly to tax authorities.
When you work as a helper on any job appointment that AGMC has helped to arrange, you agree that AGMC would be acting, in relation to you, at most as only a third party phone-answering service possibly passing along the Lead party's job offer to you, and possibly passing your answers back to the Lead party, and that you would not be working for AGMC, nor be operating as a subcontractor, agent or employee of AGMC. AGMC would be providing this service to you at no cost to you. You agree that any injuries, difficulties, liabilities, pay, taxes, worker's comp, unemployment claims, damages, and any other aspects of your work would not be issues applicable between you and AGMC. Accordingly, you agree to not file any injury, disability, worker's comp, or unemployment claims against AGMC. You further agree to reimburse AGMC in full for any fines, fees, charges or claims that authorities charge to AGMC (related to these subject matters) for any jobs you've done, regardless of any related agency definitions, classifications or findings.
